In my previous post about Victoria’s Secret history, I mentioned Roy Raymond, who was the original founder of Victoria’s Secret. I was very curious about who was Victoria in Victoria’s Secret so I went on to search and found a very sad news.
I haven’t been able to find out who was Victoria in Victoria’s Secret but I found out that Roy Raymond is no longer alive. It was under my impression that Roy Raymond would still be alive today and he should be very successful but according to Wikipedia, Roy Raymond passed away in 1993 at the age of just 46. What was even more sad was he passed away by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge

How sad! After selling Victoria’s Secret, Mr. Roy Raymond went on to start a new company called My Child’s Destiny. This company didn’t seem to work out well for him and went bankrupt in 1986.
I found an old news article from The New York Times notifying the public about Mr. Roy Raymond’s death on September 02, 1993:

The reason of death is unknown but the article said Roy Raymond was a divorced man. Being divorced and unsuccessful in business caused him to end his life? Plus maybe he regretted selling Victoria’s Secret since the company was very successful in 1993?
