Victoria’s Secret was named after a very famous person, England’s queen Victoria. Here is the article that pointed out the answer.
Queen Victoria’s real name was Alexandrina Victoria. She was born on 24 May 1819 and passed away at the age of 81 on 22 January 1901. Queen Victoria ruled the United Kingdom for 63 years from 1 May 1876 until her death on 22 January 1901.
I spent a lot of time searching for hints on why Roy Raymond picked Queen Victoria to name his company; whether he had any business ideas behind the name; or if he admired the queen’s beauty or if there was any other secret! I guess it will take me a lot more time to find out or maybe I won’t be able to find out at all.
